The new year often brings new opportunities to travel and daydreams of leisurely vacations with family and friends. And there’s no better time to start planning your getaway\u2014and making those dreams a reality\u2014than on National Plan for Vacation Day<\/a><\/strong> on January 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This annual holiday, celebrated on the last Tuesday of each January, was started by the U.S. Travel Association in 2017 as part of their Project: Time Off initiative to encourage workers to plan out their vacation time for the year and inspire them to use those days to visit destinations within the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Destination Analysts, 2021:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 91% of Americans say it’s important to use their paid time off to travel<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 79% of Americans believe vacations are important to their overall health and wellbeing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 And the three-quarters of Americans who took time to plan out their paid time off for the year were more likely to use their time off to travel in 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n
