The Appeal of Membership Travel
Private group travel is on the rise and, in recent years, membership-based hospitality offerings have made a splash in the travel scene. At Manifest, we believe that travel experiences are best served in a curated fashion. With that in mind, we have been thoughtful about capping our chapter city memberships at 175 members each in order to exceed your expectations, prioritizing quality over quantity.
Experiences Vs. Things
We know that our focus on service and customized trips delivers meaningful value to our Members. More than ever, consumers prefer worthwhile experiences over material possessions; choosing an action-packed vacation over purchasing something physical. Building memories with the people you love provides a much greater opportunity for human connection than a one-time retail purchase and this is a central truth we live by at Manifest.
Custom trips and vacations that are only available to paying members are in high demand, especially given ongoing concerns about COVID-19 and safety precautions. The New York Times shared an article in August about privatized travel that stated, “With international travel on hold and the future of flying uncertain, travelers are cashing in on those timeshares, buying into second-home communities boasting exclusive perks and joining luxury travel clubs in unprecedented numbers. This, in part, is because membership models may be particularly suited to pandemic-era travel.”
Curated Just For You
Because everyone enjoys traveling in their own way, personalization is important to us. A dedicated concierge at Manifest will ensure your trip is curated to your group’s specific needs. Thanks to the dynamic of traveling in a smaller, private group, we are able to get to know our Manifest Members personally and anticipate their ongoing needs and preferences.
In addition to our high-touch service, our portfolio of available experiences is vast and we continue to add new opportunities to rest, retreat, and stir up excitement. Some members would relish a relaxing coastal getaway to Monterey and Big Sur. Other members might prefer an action-packed adventure like a photo safari vacation at Yellowstone or a romantic couples trip to Savannah or Ojai.
Our founder and CEO, Jeff Potter, recently spoke to Leisure Group Travel. “We’re about experiential travel, close to home,” he said. “There’s so many places, so many experiences right in our own backyard that we haven’t tapped into. So I focused on that, recognizing that smaller group travel experience, 3- or 4-day getaways with active adults from ages 35-70. We’re getting you outdoors—whitewater rafting, kayaking, golf, culinary trips.”
If the dates we have scheduled for one of our experiences don’t work with your calendar, we can almost always rework that trip for another time to depart from any of our chapter cities. If you decide to think outside the box and dream up your ideal vacation as a Manifest Member, we will even handle all the planning for you. As a member of Manifest, you will have your own private travel team delivering the best experiences possible.
A Valuable Investment
With a Manifest Membership, your travel is covered “door to door.” From black car service pick-up at your residence to a private flight to and from your destination to the upscale lodging when you arrive, we include all costs in the total price of the experience you purchased. Members are never handed an unexpected bill or folio at the end of their stay. Our experiences are priced at all-inclusive rates and there are no fees or gratuities. Organizations seeking to reward their executives or whisk a team away to an impactful retreat can take advantage of the reasonable cost structure for Corporate Membership with Manifest as well.
While some luxury travel and destination clubs come with a hefty price tag for entry, membership with Manifest is far more accessible. Bloomberg covered the upward trend of a members-only travel model in a January write-up, saying “Members of Manifest pay $2,500 a year for a service that’s half private jet subscription, half travel agency. Trips average between $3,500 and $8,000 per person and include air travel, accommodations at, say, Amangiri resort in Utah, and adventures curated by partners such as MT Sobek. Guides and activities, most meals, and black-car service to and from the airport are also covered.” Including our dedicated service every step of the way, Manifest’s return on investment is competitive.
